About Schaefer Group
We are a shipping and logistics group of companies offering maritime, overland, and air freight services from our operations in the United States, Mexico, Panama, and Colombia.
For almost half a century, the Schaefer family has been in shipping and international logistics. Our origins as a South Texas stevedoring company located along the border with Northern Mexico, have given us the opportunity to grow into a multi-faceted shipping company for the continent. Today, Schaefer Group companies are located across 6 countries and operate within 7 different areas of the industry; namely, stevedoring, warehousing, trucking, ocean freight, air freight, logistics, and vessel agency. Our South Texas roots continue to flourish, making us a multi-cultural, multi-lingual, and highly focused shipping organization based in the Americas. This growth has led to operations in North, Central, and South America giving us a highly specialized skill set, with an expansive service network, which we are pleased to share with our esteemed client base.

Yves Klein Blue: The Color That Defines Our Vision
In 1960, French artist Yves Klein (1928–1962) registered his signature pigment—International Klein Blue (IKB)—with the Institut National de la Propriété Industrielle in Paris. This vibrant ultramarine became central to his work, appearing in paintings, sculptures, and provocative performance art. Over time, the color itself became his identity—and the art.
Inspired by Klein’s bold vision and influential career, we’ve adopted one of his blues as our company color—a tribute to both the artist and the power of modern art to communicate beyond form. This color represents our values, our purpose, and the spirit of what we do. Because our trucks and equipment operate in shared public spaces, we see it as our responsibility to enhance the visual environment with care and intention.
